Full-service Dog Hikes

We have access to some of Georgia’s best hikes and several of the best dog-friendly trails. Some of them are even located within Atlanta’s perimeter. These trails not only allow access to exploring new places and smelling new things, they also offer convenience – you’ll know your pooch is never too far away.

Our pups get a lot of attention, human interaction, love, safe playgroups (with no more than 3 other friends), quality exercise and access to all the wild smells! We customize the experience and distances a pack hikes based on their stamina, interest, and exercise needs. We rotate trails but try to avoid crowded spots. We spend quality time with our packs by going to State Parks and the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Areas. We are the only vetted and approved dog hiking service allowed in the parks.

We can help! While you are at work or just busy with life, we make sure your pup is getting regular exercise and relieve you from the guilt of not having enough time for long walks.

Do you worry your dog gets bored and lonely when you're not around?

We treat every dog with the joyful experience they deserve. We take breaks for smelling the roses, sips of water, and treats along the way.

Do you want to provide a safe and convenient way for your dog to explore?

We make it easy for you - we pick up and drop off at your home and provide a stimulating and safe environment for the dogs. Dogs stay in packs of 3-4 dogs each.

Meet Leslie

Founder of Chattapoochie

Even though she grew up loving dogs, Leslie’s love for dogs changed in 2001 when she was “chosen” by a retired Greyhound named Daisy. Over the course of almost 13 years, Daisy was a loyal companion through big life changes — moves, career changes, personal loss, and new beginnings.

While working long hours in a demanding career, Leslie worried about the time that Daisy spent alone. Living near the Chattahoochee trails, she began taking her on hikes whenever she could. Leslie quickly saw the transformation in Daisy from taking hikes. She was happier, calmer, healthier, and more fulfilled from the hikes. This realization sparked an idea: what if other dogs could experience this same joy, even when their owners were busy?

In 2016, Leslie took a leap of faith and left her corporate career to create Atlanta’s first dog hiking service. Today, Leslie runs the business with love, purpose, and desire to give dogs the best life possible.

Leslie has extensively studied dog history, behavior observation, science of learning theories, screening, proper group composition, and pack walking dynamics. She’s a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and received a dog walker certification from dog*tec, where she studied under Mik Moeller and Veronica Boutelle, highly respected authorities on dog – dog issues, socialization, and rehabilitation. She’s also certified in Dog CPR and Wilderness First Aid through Pet Tech. She now has over 22,000 hours of effectively putting her studies to practice with Chattapoochie Dog Hiking Adventures (CDHA).

Single Plan:

$85 per week (one hike per week) for one dog

Sibling Plan:

$70 per week (one hike per week) per dog

A unique & healthy experience

Each pooch is thoroughly vetted for health and behavior.
Packs are grouped by age, stamina, energy, size, and temperament.
We offer customized hiking experiences per age group.
